[12/12/08] The
HCM City People’s Committee has instructed the Department of Zoning and
Architecture to work with the Northwestern Urban Area Management Board
and consultant to accelerate the progress and complete the general
planning for the urban area to break ground by early 2009.
The
required general planning must feature the new urban area and a
satellite and eco-friendly urban area with its infrastructure meeting
international standards; preserve and develop three traditional
communes, namely Tan Thong Hoi, Tan An Hoi and Tan Phu Trung into a
typical model of a traditional Vietnamese village.
